AU Honors Math Olympiad Winners

Ajman University organized a ceremony to honor the 2019 Mathematics Olympiad of schools and students. The ceremony was organized last month to explore students' scientific talents and help them compete in local and international competitions and to create a suitable environment for scientific competitions among high school students in various fields of mathematics.

The ceremony started with a speech by Dr. Karim Seghir, AU Chancellor, in which he highlighted the importance of the participation of more than 300 high school students, representing 56 schools from 5 emirates. He also added that this broad participation reflects the strength of the competition.

Three schools that participated in the Olympiad were honored. The Indian Secondary School in Dubai won the first place, Our Own English School in Sharjah won the second place, and Dubai’s Delhi Private School won the third place. The University also honored students Danajeh Surti of the Indian High School in Dubai who won the first place, Koshik Morgan of Delhi Private School of Dubai won the second place, and Nirmal Shesivan, from Our Own English School in Sharjah who won the third place.

The results of the girls’ students were; the first winner was the Wamika Malik from the Indian High School in Dubai, the second winner was Kafia Shri from Our Own English School in Sharjah, and the third winner was Megana Jain from the Modern Gems Academy in Sharjah.
